"He was a giant, and this is not some idle white worship of a black man. This is a terrible way to put it, but the people who made it their business to kill the leaders of the black movement picked the right ones." ~Dr. Quentin Young, a member of Chicago Mayor Harold Washington's inner circle.

“I believe I'm going to die doing the things I was born to do. I believe I'm going to die high off the people. I believe I'm going to die a revolutionary in the international revolutionary proletarian struggle.”
~Chairman Fred Hampton, Sr.

Whether we Black Folks know it or not 12-4-1969 is our 9-11, our ground zero…Arguably more so than 2-21-1965 or 4-4-1968 it actually helped to redefined the future of Black America for the next several generations to come…That is when the world changed…For the worse…That Cold Chicago Winter’s Day The Dream Was Dead Upon Arrival Courtesy Of The United Snakes Of Amerikkka, America’s Schizophrenic, Sociopathic & Megalomaniac wheeling and dealing Twin Brother, You Know The Amerikkkan Nightmare…In an apartment room on 2337 West Monroe Street, in the heart of Black Chicago, the body of Chairman Fred Hampton, Sr., and the seemingly limitless ambitions and hopes of a better and more unified, dignified, freedom loving and righteous people laid slain on what can know be dubbed the Killing Floor of The State…he and his comrade Bro. Mark Clark, were just two victims in a long line of many in what can be dubbed the ruthless efficient State Genocidal Killing Machine known as COINTELPRO…

These two elegant spokespersons were singled out for State execution because of their willingness and commitment to redistribute and share the wealth with the huddled masses: All Power To The People!!! The bureaucratic law entrapment despot and propagandist known as J. Edgar Hoover labeled the Black Panther Party as the greatest threat to the internal security of the U.S. and therefore initiated a domestic terrorism program against U.S. citizens that even the likes of Stalin and Hitler would have envied…

Why were the Panthers a threat??? Because they existed to serve the people and empower the disenfranchised that’s why…They started survival social programs such as the free breakfast program for kids, initiated innovative and free sickle anemia testing as well as provided free healthcare clinics…They believe that community folks should embrace self determination and so they took it upon themselves to police their own communities and streets from enemies both outside and within…They mastered the understanding of Caesar’s law and made it served them to the greatest effect possible…They also dared to clothe the naked and enlighten the ignorant as well with a way of life that demanded that they recognize and respect their human dignity and that others do the same…By any means necessary…Their 10 Point Platform Program was and is a necessity for all folks and not just a luxury for Black folks…These brothers and sisters were true grassroots community organizers who only aspired to serving the people in a very direct and revolutionary way and not just to Higher Office…hmmm….

And by all accounts Chairman Fred Hampton, Sr., was the gold standard of this philosophy…He was charismatic, an electrifying orator, a very gifted organizer and by all accounts highly intelligent…Everybody that knew or knew of him, knew that he wasn’t ordinary but 'BEYOND CATEGORY'…His mother was Emmett Till's babysitter...He was destined for truly great things…But Fred overstood something that many of us still fail to understand: that individual accomplishments and feats mean little when you and the people that you love are not free! So at the age of 14 Chairman Fred embraced ‘liberation for all’ and not just ‘entitlement for one’ by creating quite frankly one of the largest NAACP Youth Leadership Councils in the country…In his hometown of Maywood, Ill, a town of roughly 27,000, he was able to secure close to 500 active members in his respective branch…These youths were actively involved in helping to integrate the city’s public parks and pools…This no doubt infuriated the ruling class of the city and it also put him on the radar of the FBI…If you think about it this is truly a amazing feat in and of itself considering that Dr. King, one of the movement’s great icons, was not involved in social protest until he was 26 years old (and at first reluctantly so) as leader of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and El Hajj El Malik Shabazz also known as Malcolm X, another dynamic icon of Black Power, was also in his mid twenties when he realized his ultimate mission as well after nearly ten years in a concentration camp (prison)…

Although Chairman Fred was a gifted scholar athlete he instead chose to develop his mind rather than a lucrative sports career by going to college to study pre-law…Chairman Fred eventually became the Deputy Chairman of the Illinois State Black Panther Party and rapidly ascended through the organization gaining both statewide as well as nationwide attention for the discipline and vision of his chapter…For example, it was Chairman Fred not Rev. Jesse Jackson who first coined the phrase the rainbow coalition…He applied this term in relation to working with some of Chicago’s notorious and ethnic street gangs…He considered street gangs as tribes and it was his purpose to politicized them and indoctrinate them into the philosophy and workings of the Black Panther Party…Chairman Fred was instrumental in creating a truce between the largest of these street gangs and was about to hook the panthers together with the Black P Stone Rangers (Black P Stone Nation) led by a very charismatic and equally intimidating Jeff Forte...It would have been like the head (BPP) reconnecting with the body to form a formidable political action organization that would have no doubt raised the ante in getting Black people proper and righteous representation in electoral politics as well as put the Black community in a very substantial and enviable position, locally and nationally, to properly demand better and sufficient treatment under Caesar’s government…

However that was not to be…The enemy had developed and implemented numerous effective and devious ways to short circuit their opposition’s effectiveness in actualizing goals and objectives…In many instances they would use your own at first to undermine and cut you at the knees…This has always been the way of imperial and colonial rule to prosper and sustain itself: Divide and Conquer & Good Ole Willie Lynchism…

The FBI sent a letter to Jeff Forte stating that Chairman Fred & BPP put a contract out on his life and was in the process of a hostile takeover of his organization…This deceptive letter helped to undermine the peace treaty between the street gangs…Also The State was using the media to disseminate propaganda to show the BPP in a bad light in the court of public opinion…That also used this character lynching to raid the BPP Chicago Head Quarters 4 times with the fourth time effectively destroying the leadership of the Illinois BPP…

The FBI also mailed fake BPP coloring books to white residencies to conjure up a scary image of the BPP being a racist Black Supremacist group bent on destroying Whitey and the Pigs by any means necessary…Ironically much of the BPP’s financial support came from well known liberal white celebrities such as Marlon Brando, Leonard Bernstein and Jane Fonda respectively…

"When Fred was shot in Chicago, black people in particular, and decent people in general, bled everywhere." –Rev. Jesse Jackson @ Chairman Fred Hampton, Sr.’s funeral.

Fred Hampton was assassinated by the police and dragged by his wrist to the door December 4th 1969

And The State was able to find their Judas in a petty small time car thief known as William O’Neal…O’Neal basically willingly traded the prosperous future of a robust and thriving Black America to save his own trifling skin from legal prosecution for his criminal offenses…He became a FBI informant answering directly and only to his slave master, FBI Agent Robert Mitchell…The seemingly affable O’Neal eventually became a very trusted in Chairman Fred’s BPP inner circle…He was so much revered by the Chairman Fred that O’Neal became his personal bodyguard and security chief…

To me it is very surreal to view rare footage of Chairman Fred on YouTube pontificating the finer points of BPP philosophy while this Benedict Arnold is offering praises of support as well as laughter at the Chairman’s jokes…It was O’Neal who provided his slave master Robert Mitchell and The State with the blueprint of Chairman Fred’s apartment and where his bedroom was located…It will later be revealed that the State’s almost 100 rounds of fire was aimed towards the direction of the bedroom…The only shot fired from a BPP member was Defense Captain Mark Clark as a reaction to being shot in the heart while he slept…It was O’Neal who fixed Chairman Fred’s last supper and laced it with something to induce sleep (perhaps a barbiturate in the Kool Aid) so that the State could assassinate him while he slept next to his pregnant fiancé with his namesake almost nine months in the wound (Chairman Fred Jr. would be born several weeks later on Dec. 29)…

We’ve seen this movie before 4 years earlier…When Malcolm X was assassinated in front of his young family at the Audubon ballroom, his chief bodyguard was an undercover NYPD BOSS (Bureau Of Special Services) operative by the name of Eugene Roberts…Although Malcolm told his security not to body check anyone or carry any weapons on their persons, Roberts was of course carrying heat…In an interview years later for the brilliant Malcolm X documentary Make It Plain he explained that he wanted to pull his gun out to intervene when Malcolm was getting pumped with bullets but was afraid of blowing his cover…This is the same infamous Eugene Roberts who would eventually set up (entrap) Afeni Shakur (the mother of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur) and the rest of the Panther 21 crew…

On Dec. 4, 1969 we lost two of humanity’s shining lights…Defense Captain Mark Clark of Peoria, Illinois, is often lost in the memorializing, but it must be remembered that he was a true soldier and the embodiment of the ‘observe and participate’ methodology of the BPP as well…Over 5,000 people from all walks of life, socioeconomic backgrounds and political leanings came to pay their respects to the fallen Black Giant of revolutionary thought and action including Revs. Jesse Jackson & Ralph Abernathy...

It's In The Blood: Chairman Fred Hampton, Jr.

Although their bodies are no more their revolutionary spirit lives on through the power of the people and in the living legacy physical form of Chairman Fred Hampton, Jr.!!! In the words of Chairman Fred ,Jr., he fell from the tree of two freedom fighters…Chairman Fred, Jr., who was born Dec. 29, 1969, to 18 year old Black Panther Sis. Akua Njeri the former Deborah Johnson, has picked up the proletarian freedom struggle and fight where his father left off…He has immersed himself in the message and sacrificial blood of his father and namesake and dedicated his life to the undying love and support of and for the liberation of the people…He is fighting the war and for the principles that many of us won’t recognize, forgot, are unaware of or are too afraid to fight on the frontlines for…We The People should do all we can to uplift this once mighty panther cub, once man child now full fledged revolutionary so that his universal vision for justice for all oppressed peoples can mature alongside the living man…Freedom fighting ain’t free and there’s a price to be paid for every gain earned as well as ounce of sweat and pint of blood expended...Free Em All!!!
