"Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it
won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man,
there's no boundary line to art." ~Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker
Join R2C2H2, Ekpe Abioto, and Dr. Alvin McKinney aka 'The Prime Minister of Joyful Jazz' in a salute to Charlie “Bird” Parker and Terry Adkins’ Native Son (Circus). The interactive performance will include an African ceremonial libation, a cutting contest with Adkins’ sculpture, and a poem by Sheree Renée Thomas.
Generous support for this project provided by Art Bridges.
