W.E. A.L.L. B.E. TV: The Last At Bat: Negro Leagues Star Art 'Superman' Pennington Interview~2/15/2010
WATCH NOW:

***Art 'Superman' Pennington Bio***

Arthur David Pennington
Nickname: Art, Superman

Career: 1940-1950
Positions: of, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, p
Teams: Chicago American Giants (1940-1946, 1950),
Pittsburgh Crawfords (1946), Mexican League (1946-1950), minor leagues (1951-1959)

Bats: Both
Throws: Right

Height: 5' 11'' Weight: 195
Born: May 18, 1923, Memphis, Tennessee

Playing for the Chicago American Giants, "Superman" compiled batting averages of .299 in 1944 and .359 in 1945 while finishing second to Sam Jethroe in stolen bases with 18. In 1950 he hit .370 with good power and started the 1950 East-West All Star game, getting a hit in three at-bats. He was the MVP of the 1950 East/West All*Star Game with a game winning bases loaded triple. Art Pennington was an All*Star during the Golden Era of the Negro Leagues when the talent was at its highest. That marked the third All Star appearance for the switch-hitter, having participated in the 1942 and 1946 games respectively. Pennington had a lifetime batting average of .336 in his eight years in the Negro Leagues. The last of these came after a three-year Mexican League hiatus, beginning in 1946 with Monterrey, where he hit .314, and continuing with marks of .291 and .294 with Puebla.

Although playing mostly in the outfield or at first base,Pennington was a versatile player and also could play any infield position, and because he had a strong arm and could throw so hard, he sometimes was utilized as a relief pitcher for a 2-inning stint.

In addition to his summers in Mexico, he played winter ball there, playing in three seasons (1948-1951) in Culiacan. He also played winters in Caracas, Venezuela, and in Cuba, where he hit .234 in 1947-1948. Highlights of his performance in each of the last two leagues include grand-slam homers, with the last one netting him a $500 prize. During his career he also homered off Dizzy Dean in an exhibition contest.

After the breakup of the Negro Leagues, the outfielder-first baseman played in organized ball for an additional nine years but never made it to the majors. A partial season with Portland in the Pacific Coast League in 1949 is the closest he came to the top rung, and he managed only a .208 batting average in the 20 games he played. His greatest success in organized baseball came in the Three-I League in 1952-1954. With Keokuk the first year he won the batting title with a .349 average (a record which stood for over 30 years) and slugged 20 home runs. The next two seasons he batted .329 and .345, the last year with Cedar Rapids. His last two years were with St. Petersburg in the Florida State League (.339) and with Modesto in the California League (.256). He retired following the 1959 season.

After leaving baseball, he worked at Rockwell Collins for twenty-three years, and two years on the railroad in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before retiring in 1985.

Baseball Career Highlights:
"Hitting a home run off of Dizzy Dean and Sal Maglie in an exhibition game and playing in the 1942, 1946 and 1950 East-West All Star games." Pennington or "Superman"posted batting averages of .299 in 1944 and .359 in 1945 and finished second with 18 stolen bases behind Sam Jethroe. Pennington hit .370 in 1950 and was named to start in the East-West All Star game.

Professional/Personal Accomplishments:
In addition, Pennington played baseball in the Cuban, Mexican and Venezuelan Leagues. Posting
a.349, he was the batting champ in the Three-I League (1952-1954). As a 25-year employee with Rockwell Collins, Pennington also played on Rockwell's company team. He retired in 1985.
Mr. Pennington retired from baseball following the 1959 season and settled in South East side of
Cedar Rapids, IA where he still lives today. He ran for several political offices including sheriff,
mayor and safety commissioner. Mr. Pennington also opened the Home-Run Club, the first
Mixed Race Establishment in Cedar Rapids.

Tha Artivist: Barry Was Robbed…

Tha Artivist: Barry Was Robbed…

Barry Bonds will go down as the greatest ballplayer ever. He will also go down as the man whose brilliant Hall Of Fame career was short circuited by the hypocritical MLB (Major League Baseball) establishment…He became the sacrificial lamb for major league baseball’s sins…His godfather and another all time great Willie Mays said that Barry had three good productive years left…2 of those 3 years have already gone (wasted) with the 2010 season coming up...

Barry is being punished by the powers that be not because he used a steroid like substance which wasn’t illegal let alone known by the general public at large…He is being punished because he is not just a strong black man but a defiant one who refuses to know his place and play ball by their rules…He is cut from the same unforgivable Blackness cloth like boxing great Jack Johnson…He is also like Jim Brown: a Black athlete who knows his true worth and limits…

He is being crucified like Mike (Jackson) because he wants to control the economics that control his destiny…He is the only major leaguer in its 30 years history to opt out of the MLB licensing program…You know that’s the program which allows Major League Baseball to act as a baseball players’ de facto agent in terms of representing them for licensing agreements say for a company to use their likeness in a video game…Barry shrewdly reasoned why should he deal with a middle man when he could probably get a better percentage of the profits from the interested business entities dealing with them directly…Barry Bonds is of the Sam Cooke and MJJ as in Michael Joseph Jackson School of Business philosophy: He rather run his own business than to make it somebody else’s business to run him…

That also means that Barry must pay the cost to be the boss and just like Michael they will be demonizing him until he is silenced...And that’s when they start to remake you in the image they see fit...They do not have to wait for you to die a physical death (for example look at Parkinson stricken Muhammad Ali and the multiple sclerosis ridden late great Richard Pryor for recent examples) in order to revamp you…They can make you so irrelevant and misrepresented through the use of the state controlled corporate media apparatus that you will become unrecognizable to the masses that you once appealed to as well as well placed co-signing propaganda for your enemies who despised you (think of the postmortem image emasculation/neutering of MLK )…To paraphrase Malcolm, the media is the most powerful entity on earth and it has the power to make your friends your enemies and vice versa…

Within three years times Bonds would have accomplished something that would have provided enough substantive facts and figures to prove that he was not only quite possibly the greatest left handed hitter ever, but the greatest hitter that ever lived…

One of the main reasons that Bonds was shut out is because baseball is truly a white man’s game again...Less than 9 percent of the current players are African Americans and there is only one Black general manager in all of baseball with no black owners…To add further insult is the fact as recently as 2005 that the Houston Astros became the first team in 40 plus years to not have an African American baseball player on their team during a world series…

Bonds even in his early 40s was one of the best hitters in the game still and although he may not have been the brilliant all around player he once was, Bonds could have substantively contributed a homerun power surge to any American League team just one player away in needing to make a late season run into immortality…Bonds could have been the extra bat that the Red Sox could have used to help them win World Series number 3 in a decade or he could have helped the Yankees to win more than just one world series win that same decade...Could you imagine what he could have done in Yankee Stadium then and now if the Yankees had the balls to ante up and sign him???

I actually believe what happened was that Bonds was considered a pariah and bad news as he was suppose to be the poster boy for what was wrong with baseball…The owners probably conspired among themselves not sign him in order to put the steroid era solidly behind them…Needless to say that they were shortsighted thanks in large part to the muckraking of none other than fellow Bonds 40/40 club member Jose Canseco (only 4 players have had 40 homeruns and 40 stolen bases in one season: Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez and Alfonso Soriano) whose book exposed the MLB world of loose morals and high octane steroid consumption okayed by the powers that be from the commissioner’s office to the clubhouse for the world at large…Steroid use was a big public secret for all to see…As in the nihilistic movie Casino, nobody cared how the money was made and got there, as long as it kept coming and in bunches…

I remember as an incoming freshman at Washington University in St. Louis I was reading an article about the then historic and nationally celebrated homerun chase between Mark McGwire of the St. Louis Cardinals and Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs…I read an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch where some reporters asked Mark McGwire if he was using a drug known as androstene or “andro”, which was outlawed by the NFL but wasn’t by the MLB…He said yes and told them that it wasn’t illegal by MLB standards...They complied with Big Mac and went back to kissing his ass...In other words they gave him a pass and try not to emphasize that his prodigious homerun totals that year wasn’t what they now call “natural”...

Now fast forward to several years later when Mark is testifying before U.S. Congress in tears trying to say that he doesn’t want to talk about the past…Hell he is on record already confessing to using something which wasn’t illegal to use so why is he crying (read whining)??? And why in the hell is Congress wasting tax dollars grilling a grown ass man over a kid’s game when 40 million plus American citizens are without health care insurance??? And the same hypocrites who were writing homoerotic love letters in their sports columns to him in 1998 are now trying to keep him out of Cooperstown??? Hell hath no fury like a journalist scorned…Only in America…

And fast forwarding to 2012, Barry’s first year of eligibility for Hall of Fame consideration if the powers that be decide not to let him come back in the foreseeable future, it will be interesting the excuse these schmucks will use to keep a 7 time MVP, 14 all-star, 8 time gold glove winner, all time walks and career and season homerun leader out of the most illustrious lineup in all of baseball…

Broken Bonds…

Major League Baseball And Hank Aaron Are Making A Big Mistake By Not Honoring Barry Bonds…
Tha Artstorian Reports!!!
As Barry Lamar Bonds approaches the most heralded sports record of all time instead of fanfare and cheers he receives hate mail and jeers…Even the current gatekeeper of the record the great yet tragically underappreciated Hank Aaron of all people stated he will not be present to present Barry with the keys to the gate when Bonds crosses home plate…Commissioner Bud Selig already stated in his trademark vague terms that he won’t be present to give Bonds a pat on the back if not a hug…

Barry, a 13 time All Star in his 20 plus years of amazing baseball, also runs the risk of getting snubbed by the All-Star balloting and fans…What makes this ironic and sad is the fact that this year’s All Star game will be held in Barry’s own backyard and the one place where he can always find a more positive than negative reception to his pursuit of the all time home run record, San Francisco’s AT & T Ballpark…And on top of that, in spite of his recent homerun drought, he’s having a pretty good year and he’s among the league leaders in several key offensive categories…

First and foremost I think it is wrong for Hank Aaron to treat Barry in such a dismissive and indifferent manner…Records are made to be broken not worshipped!!! Hank of all people should understand how it feels to be in Barry’s position…After all he did break and surpassed probably the best known if not the absolutely best baseball player of all time’s home run mark…Babe Ruth anyone???

He was severely scrutinized by many racists in American society as well as so-called baseball purists simply for the fact he was an African American man stepping and spitting on the legacy one of America’s greatest White Heroes and Myths…He received death threats daily through unsolicited “fan mail” and phone calls pre-caller id and Alec Baldwin “daddy-daughter rants”…Obviously who would know better than Hank Aaron WHAT Barry Bonds is feeling and trying to achieve at this moment??? Does Hank feel that Barry will overshadow his impressive legacy??? I hope he wouldn’t…

I think Barry has done more in these past five years to enhance Hank Aaron’s visibility than the whole business apparatus known as Major League Baseball…Nobody was really talking about the amazing legacy of arguably Baseball’s greatest hitter ever…Not only is Hammerin’ Hank the all-time home run leader @ 755, but he also holds the record for most runs batted in, runs scored and he also has the third most hits in Major league history, only Stan Musial and Pete Rose have more!!! He also has a lifetime batting average above .300 and has appeared in a record 24 All Star games…Not to mention he had won a World Series Championship early in his career, something that Barry in spite of all of his achievements and record breaking display of brilliance during the 2002 World Series has not done, but is still hoping to do!!!

Before Barry’s assault on his mark, Hank Aaron was treated like Jake to Babe Ruth’s Fat Man literally…Although he surpassed Ruth in homeruns he still wasn’t perceived by the baseball public to be the true Home Run King…Never mind that Ruth didn’t play against Black players and didn't have to travel on planes and what not to the other side of the U.S. battling not only hangovers but also jet fatigue, Ruth still seems to be White America’s Homerun King….Barry changed all of that…

He started telling people through words and deeds that Hank was the True King of Swing…He reminded people with every homerun hit since 2001 that Hammerin’ Hank with the big ham sized hands and strong quick wrists was the John Henry and Paul Bunyan of baseball…Barry, being that he is the godson of the arguably the greatest all around baseball player Willie Mays and is the son of the late great baseball star Bobby Bonds, has a great appreciation and understanding for baseball history in particular as it relates to Black players…If it weren’t for Barry nobody would be talking about Hank Aaron at all with all due respect…

Hank Aaron is the Emmitt Smith of baseball...Both were humble great athletes who got it done through consistency and hard work ethic rather than flash and mind numbing athletic ability…Hank Aaron never hit more than 47 homeruns in a season, but yet nobody had more 30 plus homerun seasons than he…Emmitt Smith never ran for 2,000 yards in a season yet you couldn’t find a person who’s been more durable and with as many 1,000 plus rushing yards seasons as he…

However many would have preferred that Mickey Mantle or Ted Williams was the actual All Time Homerun Leader than Aaron just like many people would have preferred the faster and elusive Barry Sanders to be the all-time Football Rushing King over Emmett…However life’s rewards don’t always go to the most talented, but the most determined…And Aaron and Smith deserved their records because they were determined in every meaning of the word to see their goals accomplished!!!

So I say all of this to say that Hank Aaron’s name hasn’t been mentioned with such frequency in the media before Barry’s pursuit…In spite of what the elder statesman may feel about the validity and source of Barry’s late career power surge, Hank should at least feel honored to share the limelight with the man who has directly or indirectly allowed Hank to get his just due some 33 YEARS AFTER HIS INITIAL HISTORIC MOMENT…

Also with all due respect to Hank, Barry has easily endured more in his pursuit of the all-time home run mark…Barry is rightfully or wrongfully being pursued by the Federal Government for income tax invasion as well as for his ties to the BALCO steroids scandal… It seems like the Federal Government is more interested in catching Barry Bonds than Osama Bin Laden…

He has also taken a hit from the court of public opinion with supposedly tell all book exposes outlining his supposedly dark and murky personal life (which is funny because I never heard of Barry being arrested for making it rain, driving while intoxicated and shooting it out with the locals wild west style ala Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson and Stephen Jackson...) as well as the treatment he gets from baseball fans throughout the nation with the exception of the Bay Area…

If you think I’m over exaggerating I would like to ask outside of possible the Bay Area how many Barry Bonds jerseys have you seen people buying and wearing these days??? Even though Barry is one of the sport's greatest all time players, he‘s not one of its most popular in terms of likability, but infamy as you see is another story...I am not making light of what Hank had to endure but he didn’t have to deal with 24 hour cable news and all sports channels 24/7 reporting innuendo and heresay about your seemingly non-news moves…

All I can say is Barry Bonds is the Jack Johnson of our times!!! Think about it both men were non-conformists, are among the all-time greats in their field who weren’t appreciated in their prime, people either loved or hated them no in between, had the Federal Government go after them unrelentingly and both also had a craving for White meat, the type that can still get you dragged behind a truck on a dusty road in Texas or an extended jail stay in a Georgia prison camp…

It is unfortunate that people would rather destroy than appreciate what Barry Lamar Bonds, an once in a generation type of talent, has been able to accomplish with natural ability as well as focus and discipline…People do not want to have accountability for the Frankenstein they helped to create…Regardless if Barry or even Lance Armstrong took steroids every true competitive person regardless their field are always looking for ways to get an edge up on the competition…How can you say that steroids destroy lives when they also save them (as well as careers)??? Human nature and motive is too complex to comprehend at times…Let’s try to enjoy the day before the sun sets and it’s too late…

Was Jackie Robinson A Pawn For The White Power Economic Structure??? Tha Artstorian Weighs In...

Bro. Ron aka Tha Artstorian Reports...

April 15, 2007 will mark the 60th Anniversary of one of the most seminal moments in the history of American sports: Jackie Robinson officially breaking the color line in modern major league baseball...

Now many people will confuse Jackie Robinson as being the first Black man to play organized professional baseball with white folks...Well this isn't the case...Bud Fowler and Moses Fleetwood Walker were the first African Americans to accomplish that feat in the post Civil War 19th Century America...Jackie was the first to cross the line in the modern era...Now many Americans as well as folks around the world praise Jackie Robinson as a trailblazer, humanitarian and hero and rightfully so...

However, in spite of Jackie's personal motives he was still used as a pawn by the White Power Economic Structure
...Many people don't realize today that at the time when Branch Rickey of the Brooklyn Dodgers signed Jackie Robinson that the Negro Leagues were generating more revenue and sold out games than the so-called Major Leagues...They were selling out Yankee Stadium when the damn Yankees couldn't!!! Both Whites and Blacks were in attendance during those games...Another overlooked fact is the fact that all the Negro League baseball teams were owned by Black people except for the Kansas City Monarchs which was owned by an innovative and forward looking business man from Iowa named J.L. Wilkinson (he was the first person to popularize baseball games at night with the help of lights)...This was the same team that Jackie Robinson played for when he was "discovered" by the Brooklyn Dodgers...Is this just a coincidence that a player on the only white owned team in the Negro Leagues would be used to integrate the predominantly White major leagues...However, there were exceptions to White segregation...American Indians were allowed to play, the great pitcher Chief Bender and versatile Jim Thorpe come to mind...

After Jackie Robinson, thus began the mass exodus of talented Black ball players as well as lost monies out of the hands of Black controlled interests...One thing many owners of these Negro League teams did was give back to their respective Black communities...Every dollar earned and paid was recycled back into the communities many times over before it left...Many hospitals, schools, scholarships and other necessities were created and financed in Black communities due to Negro League baseball...For example Gus Greenlee (philanthropist , businessman, bootlegger, racketeer and owner of the mightily successful Pittsburgh Crawfords) built the first Black owned stadium in the country, Greenlee Field, when his baseball team was denied access and usage of Forbes Field, the home base of the Major League's Pittsburgh Pirates...

Many of Major League Baseball's first big Black stars were products of Negro League Baseball...Besides Jackie Robinson who won the first ever Major League Baseball Rookie of the Year Award there were his teammates Roy Campanella, a three time MVP and the first major league catcher to hit 40 homeruns in a season (Baltimore Elite Giants) and pitcher Don Newcombe, the first player in Major League Baseball history to win the Rookie of the Year, Cy Young Award (was the first awarded one as well) and a MVP award in a baseball career (Newark Eagles); Larry Doby, (Newark Eagles) the first American League Black ball player (Jackie Robinson was the first Black National League ball player); Monte Irvin(Newark Eagles); Ernie Banks a.k.a. Mr. Cub (Kansas City Monarchs); Willie Mays (Birmingham Black Barons); Hank Aaron, baseball's all-time Homerun and RBI (Runs Batted In) King and the last Negro Leagues player to play in Major League Baseball (Indianapolis Clowns); and Jackie's ex-team mate, Satchel Paige, even at 40 plus years of age had enough gas left in the tank to help pitch the Cleveland Indians in the last three months of the season to a World Series title...Satchel had an incredible 6-1 win/loss record with a 2.48 ERA, 2 shutouts, 43 strikeouts, 22 walks and 61 base hits allowed in 72 2/3 innings no Roger Clemens...

Because of Major League's baseball seemingly endless resources as well as the fact that many of the best players of color were opting to the more visible Major Leagues, the Negro Leagues went into a rapid decline ceasing to exist as a force to be reckoned with by the 1960s...

So fast forwarded 60 years and how do we fare as far as progress goes??? Scarily not well, at all in the big picture...Although just about every baseball team except for one were owned by Black folks in the Negro Leagues, currently there are no Black owners in Major League baseball...There is only one Black general manager, Ken Williams, whose team the Chicago White Sox, won the 2005 World Series title against a ball club with no African American (Black) players, the Houston Astros...This was the first time since the fifties that a ball club with no African American (Black) players participated in a World Series...Despite the fact that Cito Gaston became the first Black baseball manager to win a World Series title as well as a second consecutive one with the Toronto Blue Jays (1992-1993) there are hardly any African American or Black managers in baseball...Another troubling statistic is that 60 years later less than 10% of the baseball players in the Major Leagues are Black...Can you think of any other starting Black pitchers besides Dontrelle Willis and C.C. Sabathia off the top of your head??? No because they are the only two...That's how serious it is...Although many would say that there are Black multi-millionaires in baseball, individual success doesn't always equate to group success...Just because a person has stellar individual numbers doesn't mean they can win a world series by themselves...Baseball is a team sport...Just ask Barry Bonds or A-Rod...

So in reality little has changed if not worse when Jackie took a step into history 60 years ago...Baseball and more importantly America has not lived up to its audacity of hope no Barack Obama...It's time to cash that check and play hardball because it's "Jes Us For Jackie"!!!

Outraged Negro says MLB Wrong For Not Celebrating Barry's Homerun Milestone

Barry Good Even When THE MLB ISN'T!!!

On Sunday May 28, 2006, Barry Lamar Bonds became just the second documented ball player to surpass the mighty White Giant known as the Babe Ruth in the most macho of sports categories: career homerun totalsHowever quiet as it is kept Barry did break a baseball record Sunday and it was significant

When the specially hologrammed marked baseball left the fat part of Barry's Black bat for a 445ft journey into the bleachers and the annals of sports history it cemented Barry Lamar Bonds as the most prolific left-handed homerun hitter of all time in Major League Baseball History…Up until Barry crushed the ball, Babe Ruth was the record holder for most homeruns by a left-handed hitter so you see Barry not only accomplished a major milestone but also broke and set an actual MLB record!!!

All this pigeon crapping and media downplaying by Bud Selig and his lackeys is pure posing because he's too smart not to know…What this actually shows is the cowardice of Major League Baseball to not stand behind one of its most talented and bankable if highly controversial stars because of the guilty cloud put upon Barry by many in the mainstream media regardless of the fact that the man has yet to fail a drug test and is probably tested more than any one athlete except perhaps the great champion bicyclist Lance Armstrong…Public scrutiny and perception which is shaped by the narrowmindedness and factless speculation of the mainstream media is what it is and is the price one pays for seeking fame and fortune in a tabloid addicted society

Although Bud and the Major League Baseball establishment have already shown how they felt about Barry and his accomplishment it is great to know that many people involved in the game feel otherwiseThe great St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols, who is on pace to break Barry Bonds' single season homerun mark of 73 homeruns, publicly came out in support of Bonds and offered the beleagured player nothing but praise and respect and chided the media for not being fair in their assessment and portrayal of Bonds and his achievements

Another note is Barry's next record to break isn't Hammerin' Hank's career total of 755 homeruns, but the underappreciated Hammerin' Hank's National League homerun record of 733 homeruns…Barry who's has played all 21 years of his spectacular career in the National League needs just 19 homers to pass this record/milestone and will probably do that this yearAnd oh by the way Babe Ruth still holds the American League record for most homers hit by a player at you guess it 714...No matter what ladies and gentlemen that Fat Bastard (R.I.P.) like Freddie Kreuger and Jason Voorhies refuses to die!!!

Yours Truly Even If Maury Povich's Birth Test States Otherwise,

Babe Ruth and White Lies...

The Bambino In All Of His Hyperganda Glory

Baseball has too many damn records for its own damn goodOne reason for all these records is to ensure that the Babe not Hank Aaron or any other damn darkey too talented and ambitious for his own good (a la Barry Bonds or Bad Nigger) continues to be recognized as The King of Swing and Sultan of Swat…This hyperganda (propaganda run amuck) isn't new in White Amerikkka…

In an effort to make their heroes seem bigger and grander than what they really are White Amerikkka always seek to replace truth with truthiness or lies that contain truth on crack

For example, when history books tell you Thomas Jefferson was a farmer, planter, architect and musician who built his Monticello estate in Virginia they never tell you that it was enslaved Afrikans that actually farmed the land, provided the entertainment (music and otherwise) at his society balls, grew the food , designed and built his damn Monticello mansion…Thomas Jefferson also used enslaved Afrikans to break in his bed in the master bedroom (Sally Hemmings)…Thomas Edison did not make the light bulb as we now know and loathe today…Actually Edison's version was a failure until one of his assistants , a talented Black man by the name of Lewis Latimer created the light bulb filament and yes this is the same Lewis Latimer who designed the prototype for Alexander Graham Bell's first telephone that you never hear about because of Amerikkkan History Blackouts

It has been several days since Memorial day and many people still don't realize that Black folks have played a significant role in every war Amerikkka has gotten itself involved in from 5,000 Black soldiers under the direction of Gen. George Washington to those currently deployed in Afghanistan and IraqBlacks have always been among the first to answer the so-called clarion call of freedom and justice for all even though they weren't always extended the same rights and privileges that they unhesitatingly died for and their efforts no matter how much soaked in actual blood, sweat and tears, after their generation has long passed the scene will finally be disgraced by getting the official Blackout on the Amerikkkan History Record

What does this Amerikkkan History Blackout got to do with Babe Ruth and Major League Baseball history and records one may ask??? Well considering that the Babe Ruth the actual legend and not the man is the hyperganda product of White sportswriters from the 1920s and 1930s and is continually being perpetuated by their misguided offspring (Tim Kurkjian of ESPN and the baby faced Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports! Comes to mind) and that White Amerrikkka have also been known and prone on the regular to over mythologizing, re-writing, and romanticizing its dark, genocidal, sinister and tragic past all in the name of White guilt (liberalism) and shame, then one can see the answer clearly which is of course A LOT!!!

culture and to the The fact that the candy bar known as Baby Ruth wasn't named for the cherub faced slugger but for Pres. Grover Cleveland's daughter, Ruth, is a fact that have fell victim to the hyperganda Amerikkkan History Blackout
…When Babe Ruth was committing athletic acts of "superhuman ability" (which in baseball circles athletic acts of exceptional brilliance are now called Ruthian) the fact that he was doing it in much smaller ballparks and against no people of color did not or does not even now lead many people to question the legitimacy of the homerun record in the first place…The fact that people can call without thought or hesitancy Barry Bonds a cheater who never failed a drug test and hasn't broken any laws is very hypocritical and lacks serious analysis…Even if he did took steroids it still doesn't matter because baseball did not have any laws against the taking of steroids on the books during the time he allegedly would have committed the crimeBut the Babe on the other hand had something far better than steroids, hotdogs, beer and young fast girls in his favor, he had SEGREGATION…Segregation meant that Blacks and Whites couldn't play together…Although the Black and Whites both had their own respective leagues with their fair share of stars, the White Amerikkkan press only paid close attention to the White League while the Black press covered the Black League...
However, the White press had more access and influence among the Amerikkkan White Mainstream meaning that while talented White baseball players like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker became household names in many Amerikkkan households, the Black ball players would have to settle to be only known and appreciated among their own people

Babe Ruth hit all of his 714 literally against and among friends and family while Bonds could be considered the U.N. Secretary General or Kofi Anan of homerun hitters because he has hit his homers off of more pitchers from all nationalities (currently 421 and counting) than anyone in major league baseball history

The fact that Babe Ruth played in a left-handed hitter friendly park such as Yankee Stadium also helped to add to his homerun total…However, in comparison Barry Bonds homerun totals become even more amazing when you look at the fact that he has hit many of his milestone homeruns since the beginning of the millennium in one of the most cavernous and most difficult parks to hit a homer in especially for left handers, the SF Giants SBC Park in San Francisco

Also many people forget or want not to acknowledge the fact that if Blacks and other players of color were allowed to play with the Whites that Babe Ruth's presence in baseball lore and history could easily have been an non-issue or even non-existent
…Think about it many people would probably be talking about the exploits of a Josh Gibson the first ballplayer to hit one out of Yankee stadium and who allegedly had over 800 plus homeruns in his grossly underappreciated career and who also hit close to 80 homeruns in one season!!!

It could be stated the reason why it took the Red Sox so long to win a championship wasn't necessarily the curse of the Babe or Bambino but the curse of White Amerikkkan Racism…The fact that the Red Sox had a chance to not only sign the great Willie Mays, but also the great Hank Aaron (both of whom were the product of the Black or Negro Leagues) and yet passed on it because the owner at the time, Tom Yawkey was a racist and white supremacist shows how much racism and hate can cloud up a person's good judgement especially when it comes to building championship caliber teams

Although I have spent time criticizing and rightfully so the achievements of one George Herman Ruth and White Amerikkka's hyperganda's interpretations of them, I must say that I am quite impressed with the man more so in many respects than his "tainted" recordsThe fact that he was public friendly is evident in that many ways a Babe Ruth autograph is easier to find even after some 58 years after passing than some alive and currently active professional athletes!!!

One thing in particular has always stood out in my mind about Babe and seems to imply something that his numerous major league records don't: HIS FAIRNESS AND UNBIASED APPRECIATION FOR TRUE TALENT NO MATTER THE PERSON'S COLOR!!! A reporter once asked the Babe who was the greatest ballplayer he's ever seen…The Babe interested in the meaning of the question asked for clarification on the question whether it meant the greatest White or Black player etc.,…The anxious reporter clarified the statement by saying the greatest ball player period and so the Babe told him that it was a Black man by the name of Henry 'Pop' Lloyd…There may be hope for White Amerikkka yet!!!

Barry Bonds: The Most Hated Giant Since Goliath???

Bro. Ron aka Tha Artstorian Reports...

'Passing the Torch':Barry celebrating with his Godfather Willie Mays after the superstar passes 'The Say Hey Kid' on the all-time career homeruns list.
As he approaches one of the most heralded records in all of American Professional Sports History the home run record held by Hammerin' Hank Aaron and formerly Babe Ruth, the San Francisco Giants superstar baseball player known asBarry Bonds (holder of the current record for homeruns hit in a season-73) has come under increasing attack and scrutiny from the mainstream media and from some individuals in Major League Baseball for his alleged use of steroids to help him hit homeruns…Barry's life it seems is the stuff made of legend and mythology of the highest order…His father was the late Bobby Bonds, a dynamic and very talented baseball player in his own right and his godfather is Willie Mays, considered by many to be one of the greatest if not the greatest baseball player to ever play the game…The fact that Barry is often considered the greatest player of his generation if not the greatest ever has also got many people concerned over the possibility that many of his records may be 'tainted' by possible steroid use…It should also be noted that baseball has a long history of 'tainted' records simply for the fact that known Blacks with the ability and talent to play baseball were not allowed to play with Whites for over half a century in what is now known as Major League Baseball which should bring up the question about the validity of any records set before 1947, the year Jackie Robinson broke the color line in baseball…Since Babe Ruth and other notable White baseball players pre-1947 were not allowed to play against some of the best baseball players of their generation who happened to be Black (the Babe once told a news reporter that the greatest baseball player that he ever saw was John Henry "Pop" Lloyd, a Black man) should their records also contain asterisks by them as well??? Think about it would there be a Babe Ruth if more people knew about what Josh Gibson did or was capable of doing against all pitchers (Josh hit 900 + homeruns to Babe Ruth's 714 and also hit 70 + homeruns for a season back in 1930s while the Babe's highest total for a season was 60), how about Martin Dihigo vs. Joe Dimaggio??? Also would their be a Cy Young Award if Satchel Paige was allowed to play against all comers in his prime (by the way Satchel Paige won 2,000 games to Cy Young's 511)???

It should also be noted that every since Major League Baseball implemented steroid testing back in 2002 Barry has yet to fail a test while 12 other players have, including future Hall of Famer (???) Rafael Palmeiro who even allegedly lied about taking steroids during a U.S. Congressional hearing on the subject of drug abuse in baseball…Another reason why Barry isn't liked is because of his disdain and lack of cooperation with the mainstream press…He has been labeled a racist by some (which is ironic considering that his first wife, Sun Bonds, is white and his kids are racially mixed) and a cheater by others (although to date no exact proof exist that he ever knowingly took any steroids which is why an investigation into steroid use was launched by Major League Baseball among other reasons)…His 'personality flaw' acording to his detractors has cost him untold millions in endorsements over the course of his career, but in baseball Barry is one of the best paid players in the game (Barry earned 22 million dollars last year, bested only by A-Rod's 25 million dollars)...To me Barry Bonds is the "most controversial" Black athlete America has seen in decades …Even for the sake of argument that Barry took steroids pre-2002 would it be right to persecute people for breaking a law that did not exist in Major League Baseball before 2002??? These type of character assassinations of a prominent Black athlete haven't been seen since the days of a young Ali or Jack Johnson...All three represented and represent very intelligent and articulate Black men with exceptional gifts and talents who raised the ire of White America as well as some in Black America with their refusal to conform or reform to the status quo…Please take time to look at these links and always feel free to form your own opinion on the man known as Barry Lamar Bonds and his achievements:
