Born in Harlem and raised in East New York and Brownsville Brooklyn, U-Savior is an author, video journalist and film director. As a filmmaker he mentored under the legendary Melvin Van Peebles and collaborated with Mr. Van Peebles on his latest film Confessionsofa Ex-Doofus-Itchy Footed Mutha. U-Savior's body of work includes co-directing the first reparations PSA ever made. It called for a boycott of JP Morgan Chase and was commissioned by the Restitution Study Group. He is the director of The Ghetto Chronicles, a television talk show hosted by Nana Soul and the documentary short Confessions of a Liberal Actor-vist. Now with Disappearing Voices – The Decline of Black Radio, U-Savior continues to live up to his reputation as a maverick and a revolutionary, bringing to the screen his unique vision of the little- known story of Black jocks and the impact they had on radio and the world.

He is also the author of When the Smoke Clears a monthly column featuring his painfully honest commentary which is published in several independent and progressive publications and on websites including The Black Star News and The Black Commentator.

As an activist he is particularly dedicated to mentoring young black men, focusing on helping them in the areas of business, education and life skills.

Also a musician and producer, U-Savior has enjoyed a career as one of the first artists on the Strictly Rhythm record label and has worked with artists such as Joyce Sims, Lisa Lisa, and Ofra Haza, to name a few. He produced several compilations on the Black Waxx Recordings label including Troops Out Now, a collection of music and spoken word with an anti-war focus and Over the Influence, a tribute to independent musicians which featured several black artists across the nation.

Next on the horizon for U-Savior is an anti-war documentary called Why We Stand, F--- The Police, a documentary study of police brutality in the United States, as well as several features spanning every genre from horror to sci-fi.
