Willie Bosket: The Most Dangerous Prisoner in Amerikkka ???

Many people outside of the law enforcement and judicial systems are not familiar with the name Willie Bosket…However it can be said with sound reason that Willie Bosket's notorious criminal lifestyle and exploits are the reason why many young people are tried as adults for certain crimes including murder…It seems that the life of Willie Bosket was predestined for tragedy…Willie Bosket more so than Willie Horton, the New York Times article about the Plight of Black Males, Tavis Smiley's Convenant with Black America, and the current National Urban League report on Black America embodies all that is right and wrong with Black America in particular and Amerikkan society in general…He hails from a long line of angry, highly intelligent, anti-authoritative Black males with the surname of Bosket ever since their plantation days (slavery) in "Bloody" Edgefield County, South Carolina a.k.a. KKK Country…The Bosket men were known to switch moods at any given moment and did not fear any man, Black or White…They had no problems in fighting and in certain instances killing a fellow person of color in self defense or otherwise…The fact alone that they would not bow down to Whites and the rules of the Jim Crow South made them not only unemployable by inherently racist institutions of industry but also a threat to the ways and nature of the aforementioned Jim Crow South...In other words because of their charisma, intelligence and radicalism they could be viewed as potential revolutionaries in the vein of Nat Turner and Denmark Vescey(Bad Niggers)…So they were forced out of the south into the northern parts of the U.S…However, instead of the "Malcolm X route" or the revolutionary route, the Bosket men opted for the "Detroit Red route" meaning a life of crime and violence…According to Mr. J. Douglas Allen-Taylor Willie's great-grandfather Clifton 'Pud' Bosket started the violent line of Bosket men:

Pud Bosket, Willie's great-great-grandfather, grew up a generation after the end of the Civil War and the broken promises of Emancipation. Pud was a notorious "bad nigger," the kind about whom songs are composed and stories written. Unable to find work on any of the area farms because he refused to submit to a white farmer who tried to beat him with a whip, Pud made a living gambling and breaking into stores.

He served time on South Carolina's notorious chain gangs, and was both feared and respected within the African-American community. "He didn't bother nobody, but if you pushed him, you had to beat him," Pud's brother once said. "Step on his foot, at a dance or walking by, just brush him, and there'd be a fight. He wasn't never scared."

Willie's grandfather, James who himself would travel up and down the eastern coast of the United Snakes committing armed robbery, would routinely beat and whip his father, Willie James 'Butch' Bosket, as a child, leaving him with the markings and disfigurements very similar to the ones received by enslaved Africans pre-Civil War Amerikkka…Willie's father killed two White men with a knife in a Milwaukee pawn shop because he thought one of the men had cheated him out of some money for some pornographic pictures and spent most of his life in jail while his mother abandoned him when he was very young…His grandmother became his legal guardian, but his true parents were the mean streets and subways of New York City…By the time he was fifteen it was said that Willie had committed over 2,000 criminal acts which included vandalism, 200 armed robberies, 25 stabbings. petty theft and two documented subway homicides…The State of New York found him to be an unrepentant and unsavable socio-psychopath…However, he was still a youth and due to the loopholes in the laws concerning youth offenders (regardless of murder charges) he was a free man by the time he was 21, but due to a climate change in the New York judicial system giving repeat offenders felonies and longer sentences (largely influenced by Willie's homocidal and socio-pathic exploits as a teenager) Willie found himself literally as a target to be made an example of and he was quickly sent back to jail for life for relatively minor offenses as a young adult…

It was found out during extensive psychological testing that Willie Bosket, like many of the men in his family with the same surname, possessed an above average or genius IQ…His father while serving time in Leavenworth Penitentiary received his G.E.D and became the first prisoner in Amerikkka to graduate from a college or academic institution (University of Kansas) with the designation of Phi Beta Kappa, a very prestigous academic honor…He was in the top three per cent of his class and made 38 As (and 2 Bs) out of a possible 40 college credit courses he took….Although Bosket's father literally had a mind like Einstein with unlimited potential, he nonetheless like a protagonist in a Shakespeare play was doomed by the stars for failure and a tragic demise…He was eventually killed in a shootout with police in Milwaukee which also claimed the life of his girlfriend (he allegedly committed a homicide-suicide)…The death of his father deeply affected a still young Willie Bosket…Willie Bosket has officially been designated the MOST DANGEROUS PRISONER IN NEW YORK STATE…According to criminologist Dr. Katherine Ramsland, Willie Bosket is currently kept in deep isolation in a specially constructed isolation cell. The guards are forbidden to speak to him. He has no electrical outlets, no television or newspapers. Behind the bars of his cell is a sheath of plexiglass. Four video cameras keep him under surveillance at all times. Whenever he goes out, he is thoroughly shackled with an automobile tow chain. He feels he is on death row with no hope of escape in the electric chair.

Prussian Blue: Amerikkkan Sweethearts or Misunderstood Olsen Twins Knockoffs???

In light of the recent Autum Ashante controversies I just wanted to provide a different perspective on using kids as propagandists in the Black vs. White race ideology wars…Meet Prussian Blue, a successful music group consisting of Lamb and Lynx Gaede, two twin teenie boppers from Bakersfield, Ca…Upon first glance they look like the ideal candidates for the American Idol music competition or young innocent throwbacks of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera from their late 80s and early 90s Ed McMahon hosted Star Search, Mickey Mouse Club, pre-Madonna tongue loshing-french kissing days…However if you listen and/or read their philosophy concerning White Pride and Nationalism (their music name Prussian Blue is derived from the fact that they have blue eyes and their pride in their Austrian/German/Prussian heritage) and witness their public and unabashed adoration for Adolf Hitler and his cronies then one would have to consider the old adage that looks are indeed deceiving and that if you go beyond the young ladies' superficial exterior which exemplifies the saying that girls are made up of sugar and spice and everything nice that these charming and beautiful girls seem to project with ease then one will maybe find a very disturbing and sinister message with an objective that goes beyond MTV TRL appearances, high rankings on BillBoard and Soundscan music charts, winning grammies and so on…Prussian Blue's true reason for creating music is to pick up where Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich lefted off and where Charles Manson failed to ignite which is an all out human race war that would eliminate all the so called darker and inferior people of the human race with the victor being the so-called White or Aryan race as sole representative of the human race and in control of the earth…

People sometimes tend to underestimate the power of art as propaganda…Hitler was a visual artist who failed to get into the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna twice…One of the most powerful men in Hitler's Third Reich was Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels, considered by many experts to be one of the greatest propagandists of all time...Dr. Goebbels was responsible for manipulating and whipping the German people into a fury over blaming and eliminating Jews for Germany's post World War One woes…Dr. Goebbels also led the masses of the German people to believe it was their so-called divine right and manifest destiny to rule the earth through his films, posters, radio shows, speeches and tight iron fisted control of all other important media used to disseminate information including newspapers and books…Charles Manson was an aspiring musician and songwriter who befriended and even for awhile stayed with the Beach Boys' own Dennis Wilson in an effort to get a record deal in order to promote his message of Helter Skelter leading up to several murders of the rich and powerful which made him (in)famous…D.W. Griffith's classic, controversal and innovative film masterpiece,The Birth of a Nation led to the direct resurrection of the KKK back in 1915, whose membership reached its zenith back in the 1920s (they were 4 million strong in the U.S.)…George Lincoln Rockwell went to Pratt Art Institute and was in advertisement before he became the founder of the American Nazis Party…I could go on and on with examples but hopefully yall get the point.

Another interesting fact about Prussian Blue is that if one didn't know about their true objectives and politics then one may even find one's self mindlessly enjoying their brand of pop music!!! Their lyrics (if you read them) are subtle and do not suggest anything per se that is overtly racist (they do not use from what I have seen racial and ethnic derogatory terms such as nigger)…If you honestly think about it many people do not really "listen" to the lyrics of most of America's most popular and commercially successful music…Many people put more emphasis on catchy rhythmic syncopations and catchy hooks than actual lyrical content…For example, aside from the catchy hook and hypnotic bass thumping beat how many people really memorized the lyrics to Busta Rhymes' current hot radio friendly single and club anthem "Touch It"??? Furthermore, if you are in the club setting rather than a coffee house/spoken word venue the last thing on your mind would be analyzing lyrical content because you may be too busy dancing and flirting or looking at people dancing and flirting…But people who know what these Confederate Chicks stand for can easily read in between the lines and guitar riffs as to what these songsters really are saying…Please as always feel free to form your own opinion about the duo by perusing the links below…Make no mistake about it their artistry and message is definitely making an impression on the masses and as scary as it may seem these girls do have supporters, thousands if not millions...Whether their influence is good or bad one thing for certain you can't directly blame rap music for their existence…Thank the heavens!!!

Strategies for Community Transformation: Is Hip-Hop really a movement? (Activism, Education, Politics)

Description
Fundamentally, this issue seeks to answer a very simple question: “Is hip-hop a movement?” However, the answers to this question in all likelihood will be somewhat complex. Recent years have seen the emergence of national hip-hop voter registration organizations such as the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network and national grassroots organizations such as the Hip-Hop Caucus. On a more local level, around the country a number of hip-hop non-profits, watchdog groups, service oriented organizations, conferences, books and university classes have been created to explore the complexities of hip-hop’s history, present and future. Often, these endeavors explore the latent, inherent and apparent “power” of hip-hop. This issue should include best practices of such organizations, documentaries, classes and books. Submissions on various levels should identify the limitations of hip-hop as a political movement or tool in a national and international sense.

Language, Experience & Culture: The Stories of a Generation (Hip-Hop Theatre, Film, Literature)

Description
This portion of the volume is explicitly focused on connecting the cultural artifact of hip-hop today to the artistic movement of the past, be that the Harlem Renaissance, the Black Arts Movement or “less known” national and international arts movements. Submissions should be committed to drawing clear lines of connection to previous arts movement for the express purpose of helping readers to understand how hip-hop emerged and flourishes around the world.
This second theme focuses on the cultural artifacts and byproducts of hip-hop culture. On this second level we are especially interested in submissions that tell the story of the ways in which hip-hop currently represents the interest of individuals, communities and/or corporations.

I was blessed to partake in The April 1st March Against Against The April 22 New Orleans Elections...I was one of several thousand brothers and sisters from throughout the human diaspora of all hues and social classes who came to together in the universality spirit of love, justice and solidarity for all on that hot and humid day to let it be known as stated in those great words of MLK that 'an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere'...Many of the residents who made New Orleans their homes are now scattered throughout the United States because of the Hurricane Katrina fiasco which left much of the Gulf Coast including the Crescent City in shambles...Many of the residents who are currently staying in other places currently do not have the financial resources to make the trip back home let alone rebuild their homes and lives...Because of this and the fact that only a third of the city has officially returned many feel that it is morally wrong and politically irresponsible to hold an election which will affect so many people without these constituents having a say so because everyone's voices should be heard in a democracy no matter how difficult the circumstances may be...This election is very important because it would determine the direction that the City of New Orleans is going to take for decades to come and this could also represent a chance for huge improvements in socioeconomic status and quality of living for people of color in particular and poor people in general if the right leadership is in office and if the constituents began to hold their leaders as well as themselves accountable in New Orleans and truly make it the democracy it should be...

Lest we forget New Orleans has given this country and world more than just the beautiful artistry of jazz music, but has time and time again over the centuries, decades and generations helped us the American people define what the price and meaning of freedom truly is whether it was the Battle of New Orleans(1815),Plessy v. Ferguson(1896),The formation of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (1957), and Ruby Bridges and School Desegregation (1960) among other notable events too numerous to name here, New Orleans has always found itself in a position to help push our American society to greater heights in terms of humanity and hopefully one day a more perfect union...There are still many "teaching moments" left yet in this Post-Katrina N.O. and Gulf Coast world...Let us make sure that we learn and practice the wisdom of these lessons well and pass them on to the next generation...Because like MLK said we can either live together as brothers or perish together as fools!!!

As we approach the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Black Panther Party and with the recent peaceful passings of such old-school Civil Rights dignitaries and icons as Mrs. Rosa Parks and Mrs. Coretta Scott King respectfully,sometimes it is easy to forget just how young and committed many people in the Civil Rights and Black Power movements were who made the ultimate sacrifice...Fred Hampton, a charismatically gifted orator and brilliant political organizer who lead the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense during the 1960s clearly and unfortunately illustrates this point all too well...Fred Hampton was basically assassinated by the U.S. government while sleeping in his bed with his wife, who was pregnant with his only son and namesake at 4 in the morning on Dec. 4,1969...The Chicago Police Department pulled the physical trigger with the blessing and the help of J. Black Panthers history prompts protest at City Council meeting

Supporters of a proposal to commemorate slain Black Panther Party leader Fred Hampton with an honorary street sign staged a raucous demonstration at City Hall on Wednesday, even as an influential alderman hinted he may allow a vote on the controversial issue.

Ald. Thomas Allen (38th), chairman of the City Council's Transportation Committee, strongly suggested last week that he would not allow a vote on the measure sponsored by Ald. Madeline Haithcock (2nd) that would make a short stretch of West Monroe Street in her ward "Fred Hampton Way."

But on Wednesday, Allen appeared to open the door to a vote at the next council meeting on April 26.

"It is going to see its day in court," he said of the proposal. "It's just a matter of time. We are going to see what Ald. Haithcock wants to do. ... She can have it heard either coming out of my committee or she can move to discharge it," bringing it to the council floor herself if she can muster support from a majority of the council's 50 aldermen, Allen said.

"There is a lot of discussion going on behind the scenes," he said. "We'll see what happens in April."

Before Wednesday's City Council meeting, U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), himself a one-time Panther Party official and Hampton colleague, held a City Hall news conference to announce a petition drive in support of a vote.

But Rush's comments repeatedly were cut short by an unidentified man with a bullhorn, who apparently came to the building with a group accompanying Hampton's son, Fred Hampton Jr.

"Bobby Rush had nothing to do with this," the man said of the street sign proposal, drowning out Rush in what quickly became a chaotic scene.

Rush ultimately tried to leave, retreating to an elevator. But until police officers on the scene cleared the way, the doors were kept open by Hampton Jr. supporters as the shouting continued.

Midway through the council meeting, a few dozen pro-Hampton demonstrators shouted and chanted outside the council chamber as police reinforcements were called.

Hampton accused Allen of doing the bidding of Mayor Richard Daley in blocking consideration of his father's honor.

"We say no justice, no peace as far as Daley or Allen," he declared. Allen asserted that he is "not doing anybody's bidding" on the sign issue, and Daley said, "I never talked to Allen about it."

But the mayor reiterated his belief that honorary signs, in general, "are a waste of time and money."

Some opponents contend that Hampton, killed in a 1969 law enforcement raid, should not be honored because of the Panthers' advocacy of violence against police.

Supporters of renaming the block where Hampton was killed said they want to honor him for being a leader in the black community who fed and clothed the poor.

After the council meeting, about 30 supporters accompanied Hampton Jr. as he taped a homemade sign to a light post near a cul-de-sac at Monroe Street and Western Avenue.

To chants of "black power" and "long live Chairman Fred," Hampton Jr. also taped a red, black and green African-American flag to the post.

In other council business Wednesday, Allen and Ald. Ariel Reboyras (30th) introduced several measures calling for steep increases in fines for speeding and negligent driving.

Exceeding the typical 30 m.p.h. limit on city streets, for example, would cost a violator up to $300 for a first offense, up from a maximum of $200 currently. A third offense in a three-year period would bring a fine of up to $1,000, double the current maximum, as well as a mandatory sentence of at least 5 days in jail.

"We are trying to get some rein on poor driving," Allen said. "But in reality we need enforcement."

Meanwhile, a proposal for a 124-story residential tower that would be the nation's tallest building cleared its last hurdle at City Hall when the council approved a zoning change for its site, just west of Lake Shore Drive on the north bank of the Chicago River.

The distinctive tower, designed by Zurich-based architect Santiago Calatrava, will be "great for the city," Daley said. "It is really unique. .. It is a great symbol."

In other action:

The council passed a measure that would hold parents and other adults responsible for underage drinking parties in their homes. Violators risk up to 6 months in jail and fines of up to $200 for each young drinker.

More than 30 aldermen cosponsored a revamped "big box" ordinance that would require all retail companies with at least $1 billion in annual sales and stores in the city with at least 75,000 square feet to pay workers a minimum of $10 an hour and $3 in benefits. An earlier measure that would have applied only to new big box stores failed to win necessary support in the council.

POWER ANYWHERE WHERE THERES PEOPLE!
Power anywhere where there's people. Power anywhere where there's people. Let me give you an example of teaching people. Basically, the way they learn is observation and participation. You know a lot of us go around and joke ourselves and believe that the masses have PhDs, but that's not true. And even if they did, it wouldn't make any difference. Because with some things, you have to learn by seeing it or either participating in it. And you know yourselves that there are people walking around your community today that have all types of degrees that should be at this meeting but are not here. Right? Because you can have as many degrees as a thermometer. If you don't have any practice, they you can't walk across the street and chew gum at the same time.

Let me tell you how Huey P. Newton, the leader, the organizer, the founder, the main man of the Black Panther Party, went about it.

The community had a problem out there in California. There was an intersection, a four-way intersection; a lot of people were getting killed, cars running over them, and so the people went down and redressed their grievances to the government. You've done it before. I know you people in the community have. And they came back and the pigs said "No! You can't have any." Oh, they dont usually say you can't have it. They've gotten a little hipper than that now. That's what those degrees on the thermometer will get you. They tell you "Okay, we'll deal with it. Why dont you come back next meeting and waste some time?"

And they get you wound up in an excursion of futility, and you be in a cycle of insaneness, and you be goin' back and goin' back, and goin' back, and goin' back so many times that you're already crazy.

So they tell you, they say, "Okay niggers, what you want?" And they you jump up and you say, "Well, it's been so long, we don't know what we want", and then you walk out of the meeting and you're gone and they say, "Well, you niggers had your chance, didnt you?"

Let me tell you what Huey P. Newton did.

Huey Newton went and got Bobby Seale, the chairman of the Black Panther Party on a national level. Bobby Seale got his 9mm, that's a pistol. Huey P. Newton got his shotgun and got some stop signs and got a hammer. Went down to the intersection, gave his shotgun to Bobby, and Bobby had his 9mm. He said, "You hold this shotgun. Anybody mess with us, blow their brains out." He put those stop signs up.

There were no more accidents, no more problem.

Now they had another situation. That's not that good, you see, because its two people dealing with a problem. Huey Newton and Bobby Seale, no matter how bad they may be, cannot deal with the problem. But let me explain to you who the real heroes are.

Next time, there was a similar situation, another four-way corner. Huey went and got Bobby, went and got his 9mm, got his shotgun, got his hammer and got more stop signs. Placed those stop signs up, gave the shotgun to Bobby, told Bobby "If anybody mess with us while were putting these stop signs up, protect the people and blow their brains out." What did the people do? They observed it again. They participated in it. Next time they had another four-way intersection. Problems there; they had accidents and death. This time, the people in the community went and got their shotguns, got their hammers, got their stop signs.

Now, let me show you how were gonna try to do it in the Black Panther Party here. We just got back from the south side. We went out there. We went out there and we got to arguing with the pigs or the pigs got to arguing-he said, "Well, Chairman Fred, you supposed to be so bad, why dont you go and shoot some of those policemen? You always talking about you got your guns and got this, why dont you go shoot some of them?"

And I've said, "you've just broken a rule. As a matter of fact, even though you have on a uniform it doesn't make me any difference. Because I dont care if you got on nine uniforms, and 100 badges. When you step outside the realm of legality and into the realm of illegality, then I feel that you should be arrested." And I told him, "You being what they call the law of entrapment, you tried to make me do something that was wrong, you encouraged me, you tried to incite me to shoot a pig. And that ain't cool, Brother, you know the law, dont you?"

I told that pig that, I told him "You got a gun, pig?" I told him, "You gotta get your hands up against the wall. We're gonna do what they call a citizens arrest." This fool dont know what this is. I said, "Now you be just as calm as you can and don't make too many quick moves, cause we don't wanna have to hit you."

And I told him like he always told us, I told him, "Well, I'm here to protect you. Don't worry about a thing, 'm here for your benefit." So I sent another Brother to call the pigs. You gotta do that in a citizen's arrest. He called the pigs. Here come the pigs with carbines and shotguns, walkin' out there. They came out there talking about how they're gonna arrest Chairman Fred. And I said, "No fool. This is the man you got to arrest. He's the one that broke the law." And what did they do? They bugged their eyes, and they couldn't stand it. You know what they did? They were so mad, they were so angry that they told me to leave.

And what happened? All those people were out there on 63rd Street. What did they do? They were around there laughing and talking with me while I was making the arrest. They looked at me while I was rapping and heard me while I was rapping. So the next time that the pig comes on 63rd Street, because of the thing that our Minister of Defense calls observation and participation, that pig might be arrested by anybody!

So what did we do? We were out there educating the people. How did we educate them? Basically, the way people learn, by observation and participation. And that's what were trying to do. That's what we got to do here in this community. And a lot of people don't understand, but there's three basic things that you got to do anytime you intend to have yourself a successful revolution.

A lot of people get the word revolution mixed up and they think revolutions a bad word. Revolution is nothing but like having a sore on your body and then you put something on that sore to cure that infection. And Im telling you that were living in an infectious society right now. Im telling you that were living in a sick society. And anybody that endorses integrating into this sick society before its cleaned up is a man whos committing a crime against the people.

If you walk past a hospital room and see a sign that says "Contaminated" and then you try to lead people into that room, either those people are mighty dumb, you understand me, cause if they weren't, they'd tell you that you are an unfair, unjust leader that does not have your followers' interests in mind. And what were saying is simply that leaders have got to become, we've got to start making them accountable for what they do. They're goin' around talking about so-and-so's an Uncle Tom so we're gonna open up a cultural center and teach him what blackness is. And this n****r is more aware than you and me and Malcolm and Martin Luther King and everybody else put together. That's right. They're the ones that are most aware. They're most aware, cause they're the ones that are gonna open up the center. They're gonna tell you where bones come from in Africa that you can't even pronounce the names. Thats right. They'll be telling you about Chaka, the leader of the Bantu freedom fighters, and Jomo Kenyatta, those dingo-dingas. They'll be running all of that down to you. They know about it all. But the point is they do what they're doing because it is beneficial and it is profitable for them.

You see, people get involved in a lot of things that's profitable to them, and we've got to make it less profitable. We've got to make it less beneficial. I'm saying that any program that's brought into our community should be analyzed by the people of that community. It should be analyzed to see that it meets the relevant needs of that community. We don't need no n*****s coming into our community to be having no company to open business for the n*****s. There's too many n*****s in our community that can't get crackers out of the business that they're gonna open.

We got to face some facts. That the masses are poor, that the masses belong to what you call the lower class, and when I talk about the masses, I'm talking about the white masses, I'm talking about the black masses, and the brown masses, and the yellow masses, too. We've got to face the fact that some people say you fight fire best with fire, but we say you put fire out best with water. We say you do'nt fight racism with racism. We're gonna fight racism with solidarity. We say you don't fight capitalism with no black capitalism; you fight capitalism with socialism.

We ain't gonna fight no reactionary pigs who run up and down the street being reactionary; we're gonna organize and dedicate ourselves to revolutionary political power and teach ourselves the specific needs of resisting the power structure, arm ourselves, and we're gonna fight reactionary pigs with INTERNATIONAL PROLETARIAN REVOLUTION. That's what it has to be. The people have to have the power: it belongs to the people.

We have to understand very clearly that there's a man in our community called a capitalist. Sometimes he's black and sometimes he's white. But that man has to be driven out of our community, because anybody who comes into the community to make profit off the people by exploiting them can be defined as a capitalist. And we don't care how many programs they have, how long a dashiki they have. Because political power does not flow from the sleeve of a dashiki; political power flows from the barrel of a gun. It flows from the barrel of a gun!

A lot of us running around talking about politics don't even know what politics is. Did you ever see something and pull it and you take it as far as you can and it almost outstretches itself and it goes into something else? If you take it so far that it is two things? As a matter of fact, some things if you stretch it so far, it'll be another thing. Did you ever cook something so long that it turns into something else? Ain't that right?

That's what were talking about with politics.

That politics ain't nothing, but if you stretch it so long that it can't go no further, then you know what you got on your hands? You got an antagonistic contradiction. And when you take that contradiction to the highest level and stretch it as far as you can stretch it, you got what you call war. Politics is war without bloodshed, and war is politics with bloodshed. If you don't understand that, you can be a Democrat, Republican, you can be Independent, you can be anything you want to, you ain't nothing.


We don't want any of those n*****s and any of these hunkies and nobody else, radicals or nobody talking about, "I'm on the Independence ticket." That means you sell out the republicans; Independent means you're out for graft and you'll sell out to the highest bidder. You understand?

We want people who want to run on the People's Party, because the people are gonna run it whether they like it or not. The people have proved that they can run it. They run it in China, they're gonna run it right here. They can call it what they want to, they can talk about it. They can call it communism, and think that that's gonna scare somebody, but it ain't gonna scare nobody.

We had the same thing happen out on 37th Road. They came out to 37th road where our Breakfast for children program is, and started getting those women who were kind of older, around 58---that's, you know, I call that older cause Im young. I aint 20, right, right! But you see, they're gonna get them and brainwash them. And you ain't seen nothin till you see one of them beautiful Sisters with their hair kinda startin getting grey, and they ain't got many teeth, and they were tearin' them policemen up! They were tearing em up! The pigs would come up to them and say "You like communism?"

The pigs would come up to them and say, "You scared of communism?" And the Sisters would say, "No scared of it, I ain't never heard of it."

"You like socialism?"

"No scared of it. I ain't never heard of it."

The pigs, they be crackin' up, because they enjoyed seeing these people frightened of these words.

"You like capitalism?"

Yeah, well, that's what I live with. I like it.

"You like the Breakfast For Children program, n****r?"

"Yeah, I like it."

And the pigs say, "Oh-oh." The pigs say, "Well, the Breakfast For Children program is a socialistic program. Its a communistic program."

And the women said, "Well, I tell you what, boy. I've been knowing you since you were knee-high to a grasshopper, n****r. And I don't know if I like communism and I don't know if I like socialism. But I know that that Breakfast For Children program feeds my kids, n****r. And if you put your hands on that Breakfast For Children program, I'm gonna come off this can and I'm gonna beat your ass like a ...."

That's what they be saying. That's what they be saying, and it is a beautiful thing. And that's what the Breakfast For Children program is. A lot of people think it is charity, but what does it do? It takes the people from a stage to another stage. Any program that's revolutionary is an advancing program. Revolution is change. Honey, if you just keep on changing, before you know it, in fact, not even knowing what socialism is, you dont have to know what it is, they're endorsing it, they're participating in it, and they're supporting socialism.

And a lot of people will tell you, way, Well, the people dont have any theory, they need some theory. They need some theory even if they don't have any practice. And the Black Panther Party tells you that if a man tells you that he's the type of man who has you buying candy bars and eating the wrapping and throwing the candy away, he'd have you walking East when you're supposed to be walking West. Its true. If you listen to what the pig says, you be walkin' outside when the sun is shining with your umbrella over your head. And when it's raining youll be goin' outside leaving your umbrella inside. That's right. You gotta get it together. Im saying that's what they have you doing.

Now, what do WE do? We say that the Breakfast For Children program is a socialistic program. It teaches the people basically that by practice, we thought up and let them practice that theory and inspect that theory. What's more important? You learn something just like everybody else.

Let me try to break it down to you.

You say this Brother here goes to school 8 years to be an auto mechanic. And that teacher who used to be an auto mechanic, he tells him, "Well, n****r, you gotta go on what we call on-the-job-training." And he says, "Damn, with all this theory I got, I gotta go to on-the-job-training? What for?"

He said, "On on-the-job-training he works with me. Ive been here for 20 years. When I started work, they didn't even have auto mechanics. I ain't got no theory, I just got a whole bunch of practice."

What happened? A car came in making a whole lot of funny noise. This Brother here go get his book. He on page one, he ain't got to page 200. I'm sitting here listening to the car. He says, "What do you think it is?"

I say, "I think its the carburetor."

He says, "No I don't see anywhere in here where it says a carburetor make no noise like that." And he says, "How do you know its the carburetor?"

I said, "Well, n****r, with all them degrees as many as a thermometer, around 20 years ago, 19 to be exact, I was listening to the same kind of noise. And what I did was I took apart the voltage regulator and it wasn't that. Then I took apart the alternator and it wasn't that. I took apart the generator brushes and it wasn't that. I took apart the generator and it wasn't that. I took apart the generator and it wasn't even that. After I took apart all that I finally got to the carburetor and when I got to the carburetor I found that that's what it was. And I told myself that 'fool, next time you hear this sound you better take apart the carburetor first.'"

How did he learn? He learned through practice.

I dont care how much theory you got, if it don't have any practice applied to it, then that theory happens to be irrelevant. Right? Any theory you get, practice it. And when you practice it you make some mistakes. When you make a mistake, you correct that theory, and then it will be corrected theory that will be able to be applied and used in any situation. Thats what we've got to be able to do.

Every time I speak in a church I always try to say something, you know, about Martin Luther King. I have a lot of respect for Martin Luther King. I think he was one of the greatest orators that the country ever produced. And I listened to anyone who speaks well, because I like to listen to that. Martin Luther King said that it might look dark sometime, and it might look dark over here on the North Side. Maybe you thought the room was going to be packed with people and maybe you thought you might have to turn some people away and you might not have enough people here. Maybe some of the people you think should be here are not here and you think that, well if they're not here then it won't be as good as we thought it could have been. And maybe you thought that you need more people here than you have here. Maybe you think that the pigs are going to be able to pressure you and put enough pressure to squash your movement even before it starts. But Martin Luther King said that he heard somewhere that only when it is dark enough can you see the stars. And we're not worried about it being dark. He said that the arm of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward heaven.

We got Huey P. Newton in jail, and Eldridge Cleaver underground. And Alprentice Bunchy Carter has been murdered; Bobby Hutton and John Huggins been murdered. And a lot of people think that the Black Panther Party in a sense is giving up. But let us say this: That we've made the kind of commitment to the people that hardly anyone else has ever made.

We have decided that although some of us come from what some of you would call petty-bourgeois families, though some of us could be in a sense on what you call the mountaintop. We could be integrated into the society working with people that we may never have a chance to work with. Maybe we could be on the mountaintop and maybe we wouldn't have to be hidin' when we go to speak places like this. Maybe we wouldn't have to worry about court cases and going to jail and being sick. We say that even though all of those luxuries exist on the mountaintop, we understand that you people and your problems are right here in the valley.

We in the Black Panther Party, because of our dedication and understanding, went into the valley knowing that the people are in the valley, knowing that our plight is the same plight as the people in the valley, knowing that our enemies are on the mountain, to our friends are in the valley, and even though its nice to be on the mountaintop, we're going back to the valley. Because we understand that there's work to be done in the valley, and when we get through with this work in the valley, then we got to go to the mountaintop. We're going to the mountaintop because there's a motherfucker on the mountaintop that's playing King, and he's been bullshitting us. And weve got to go up on the mountain top not for the purpose of living his life style and living like he lives. We've got to go up on the mountain top to make this motherfucker understand, goddamnit, that we are coming from the valley!

A 7-year-old prodigy unleashed a firestorm when she recited a poem she wrote comparing Christopher Columbus and Charles Darwin to "pirates" and "vampires" who robbed blacks of their identities and human rights.
Hundreds of parents of Peekskill middle- and high-school students received a recorded phone message last week apologizing for little Autum Ashante's poem, titled "White Nationalism Put U in Bondage."

"Black lands taken from your hands, by vampires with no remorse," the aspiring actress and poet wrote. "They took the gold, the wisdom and all the storytellers. They took the black women, with the black man weak. Made to watch as they changed the paradigm of our village."Yeah white nationalism is what put you in bondage. Pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan and Darwin."

Autum was invited to speak at the Westchester schools on Feb. 28 by Melvin Bolden, a music teacher at the middle school who advises the high school's Black Culture Club and is a member of the Peekskill City Council.
Autum, whose résumé includes several television appearances and performances at the Apollo Theater and the African Burial Ground in Manhattan, told The Post that her poem was meant to instill pride in black students and to encourage them to steer clear of violence. "I don't think there's anything wrong with my poem. I was trying to tell them the straight-up truth," Autum said. "I'm trying to tell them not to fight because they're killing the brothers and sisters." Autum, who is home-schooled in Mount Vernon and speaks several languages, prefaced her performance at the high school with a Black Panthers' pledge asking black youngsters to not harm one another.It did not sit well with parents.

In a telephone interview with The Post, Bolden said Autum has been "unofficially" banned from performing in a district school again and that school officials would review transcripts of future speakers."It's unfortunate, because some teachers said they wanted this little girl to explain the things she said to their students, but some parents don't want her on school grounds," Bolden said. "[The poem] might have been a little too aggressive for what the middle-school kids are ready to handle," Bolden added.

Kimberly Greene, a mother of children in the high school and middle school, said she was shocked when she got the recorded phone message. "If there are people who are upset about what she said, the schools should have talked about and analyzed it rather than send a message to everyone saying this little girl was offensive," Greene said. Autum's father, Batin Ashante, said he can't believe the fuss over his daughter's poem. "She's a little girl who does poetry about real things. She doesn't do poetry about cotton candy," Ashante said. "She's a serious little person."

NEW YORK (FinalCall.com) - Autumn Ashante may be only seven years old, but she knows just exactly what she wants, and what has to be done to get there.

“I want to meet Mother Tynnetta (Muhammad). She is my hero,” revealed Autumn during a telephone interview with The Final Call. When asked what was so special about Mother Tynnetta, the child prodigy answered without hesitation: “Because her words are so powerful.”

Autumn speaks three languages and reads the Holy Qur’an in Arabic. She also wants to meet the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. “I admire Minister Farrakhan’s mind and his will and what he thinks,” Autumn stated. “And he is very strong.”

Speaking of strength, when Autumn stood before her audience from the Peekskill middle and high schools Feb. 28, the last day of Black History Month to recite her poem which compared Christopher Columbus and Charles Darwin to pirates and vampires that robbed Blacks of their identity, it took a lot of strength.

I will discipline myself to direct my energies thoughtfully and constructively rather than wasting them in idle hatred. I will train myself never to hurt or allow others to harm my Black brothers and sisters for I recognize that we need every Black Man, Woman and Child to be physically, mentally and psychologically strong.

“I was very concerned about the violence that has been happening between the Black and Latino youth, and I wanted my poem to give them something to think about other than the negative,” Autumn told The Final Call. Her poem, entitled “White Nationalism Put U in Bondage,” caused quite a furor.

“Black lands taken from your hands by vampires with no remorse. They took the gold, the wisdom and all the storytellers. They took the Black women, with the Black man weak. Made to watch as they changed the paradigm of our village... White nationalism is what put you in bondage: pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan and Darwin drank the blood of the sheep, trampled all over them with steel, tricks and deceit...”

Some White students walked out. Parents received a recorded message that apologized for the poem. The New York Post reported that Autumn was “unofficially” banned from performing in the school district, but that has been denied by a school official in a story that appeared in the Amsterdam News.

“Autumn was aware that there had been a violent confrontation at the school the day before she appeared between the Black and Latino students, and she wanted to give them something that would stop them from wanting to kill each other,” explained Autumn’s father, Batin Ashante.

Autumn, who has been home-schooled for the past two years, told the New York Post, the newspaper that broke the story, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my poem. I was trying to tell them the straight-up truth. I’m trying to tell them not to fight because they’re killing the Brothers and Sisters.”

When asked why she felt so strongly about the violence, she explained, “Like the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, there is no time for this.”

Mr. Ashante has raised Autumn by himself since she was 11 months old. He explained that his daughter has always had a thirst for knowledge and began reading at the age of two. “She has always had a notebook nearby, and she is always writing in it,” he shared.

Autumn has appeared at the Apollo Theater, the African Burial Ground in lower Manhattan, BET, C-Span and a 2003 performance before the New York City Council that brought a standing ovation. She had been brought to the city council by Brooklyn Councilwoman Yvette Clarke.

“I want to foremost declare my unquestioned support for Autumn Ashante,” the councilwoman said in a press release shortly after the Post published its story.

“I have, on several occasions, had the opportunity to meet and speak with this gifted child. I have been so impressed with her oratorical skills and poetic recitations.”

#1. Put structure to your writing

#2. Write a synopsis / summary of the bones of your story

I know you have challenges that seem larger than life. Telling a story is always difficult, whether it is writing or just walking through your life. Structure and planning were major keys for completing THE LEGEND OF QUITO ROAD. What is your story? How does it begin and end. Who are the major characters and what drives their actions in this tale you are spinning? Where are they going and why do they want to arrive at that place or goal? Who is their opposition? There is always opposition; that is what creates great fiction: goal, motivation, conflict (I recommend a read of GMC: Goal, Motivation, Conflict – The Building Blocks of Good Fiction” by Debra Dixon, Gryphon Books ISBN 0-9654371-0-8).

For my novel, I wrote a four (4) page synopsis (you can boil it down / condense it to the publishers / agents preferred two pages later, but these pages will help you tell the story now and that is your job). This brief high-level summary gave me direction and acted as a guide to keep me on the path in the telling of the story. I once met an editor named Elizabeth Law who assured me that writing is all in the telling. My synopsis helped me stay on task and stay true to my story in this book. It was my compass and I immediately knew when I got off-path. I only needed to review these four pages infrequently.

I have a question (younger brothers always have questions and I am the youngest of six sons in my family). Are we on task? I know our lives often read like fiction with numerous plot twists and turns. These challenges are usually difficult to follow and understand. Perhaps, a recent chapter or two have you the author of your story shaking and scratching your head. I am writing this early morning, just before daybreak, to remind you that your life needs a plan.

Despite what you have been through, make one as soon as you can. In 1998, I lost my job on a Wednesday in late September. Two days later on Friday, I found out I had colon cancer. It was not a good week at my house (SMILE). I can still remember my children’s tears when my wife and I broke the news to them. But, I felt the need to assure my children that it would be all right, despite this new piece of drama in our lives.

We made plans. We put down on paper where our family was headed medically, physically, and financially. I made goals to show my family that I planned to be there with them sowing good seeds, telling my life story with each interaction daily, making plans and achieving goals. I literally sat down and wrote out a list of five items that I hoped would occur. Next week, we will talk about storyboarding—that is what my list was for me. I know that now as I look back over the seven and a half years since the Fall of 1998 when I did not know if I would live or die.

My last question this week is “Do we ever know without faith if we will live or die?” As you walk through life, your story, write a synopsis / summary of the its bones. Set goals to tell it like it should be told and make sure you stay on path by referring frequently to the plans you have placed on your horizon. Sure, plans change; characters often encounter unplanned twists, tragedy, and attacks. But, you can stay on path or return to the lane where the sweet spot of your tale exists by simply keeping the faith and knowing that you have a bright future, despite what ever may come.

Have a blessed week and keep on telling it. That is what I am doing every day. Next week, I will give you the five goals I shared with my wife and daughters before this unemployed “wanna-be-writer” went in for cancer surgery with chemotherapy pending six weeks later.

Today begins a tradition on www.DwightFryer.com. It's the first entry in my blog. It has been a very busy day and my time at the office ended at 7:00PM. Earlier, another reader saw the message on my "Articles on Faith and Family" link. Here's what she was led to write to me: "Just felt the need to share this with you. I was really touched by your "Faith Article" on your website. It brought tears to my eyes. Your article has made me want to take a second look at my life. You are a very strong and spirit filled man."

I needed to hear that at that exact moment. It came in the middle of a very challenging day, just before I needed to take a teleconference to discuss some very difficult and potentially terse subjects with a colleague. That gentile nudge was all I needed to stop and focus on who I am, where I have come from, what I have walked through and the roads yet to be traveled by me. I am writing this evening just before I retire to give you a gentle push of encouragement, like my angel did for me earlier.

In a year when another author with a last name similar to mine, duped Oprah and her book club, here's what many of you have seen me walk through: In 2001, my youngest daughter Adrienne died from Meningitis. She was sixteen-years-old and it happened on my 43rd birthday, Superbowl Sunday, January 28, 2001. I survived colon cancer seven years ago in 1998 during a time I was laid off my job. A devastating wreck with a driver under the influence in 1992 took the top of my scalp off and injured my left eye. I never looked at Happy Hour the same after that wreck blew out my left knee and changed my entire physical capability. In 1989, my family and I spent the entire day with a burglar in our attic after the Memphis police SWAT missed finding the man. Divine intervention saved us and I discovered the robber myself after continuing to believe someone was there, despite what the officers said. Six months later, we moved to a rural area to rediscover my non-urban roots and a man tried to "mug" us in the front yard. Through it all, I kept tellin' my story. Are you tellin' yours?

Since Adri died, my dream has been to increase my platform so that millions will get immunized or learn the symptoms of Meningitis ( Meningitis Foundation of America ) to be able to protect themselves and their loved ones against this disease that can end or alter lives quickly. I tell this story to people everywhere I go. It is, I truly believe, a large part of why I exist.

My therapy to overcome these blows involved becoming a writer and Kimani Press, a part of Harlequin, which purchased the publishing assets of BET BOOKS on 12/1/2005 from BET, is publishing my novel, THE LEGEND OF QUITO ROAD. I was blessed to sell this book without an agent of flesh and blood and I believe it is going to help me and many persons that read this decadent little tale do what we are here to do. I am a writer, a storyteller from a line of folks gifted in a Southern US oral tradition. On the pages of my novel you will find how a boy and the seeds sown in him drive his life in directions not imaginable. This first installment was developed in 12 steps. Here is the first:

I hope you know we are all storytellers…the details and plot twists come in our lives that dot the “I’s” or cross the “Ts”. I hope there’s structure there. I pray you are working at what you are here to do by writing down goals, developing your story, like the great storyteller you are, speaking the dreams you have into existence through positive messaging, and planting a good seed in all you meet by turning terse conversations into productive ones.

Over the next eleven weeks, as the countdown to the next American Idol continues (all writers need a mind break and that show is one of mine – SMILE with me in the midst of our story), I will place an entry here each week with one of my twelve tips used to write THE LEGEND OF QUITO ROAD.

I hope each helps you tell your story, happily, successfully, joyously, through each and every twist on your “Roads Less Traveled.” Remember, the worst things wrong with most of us were planted there by those who love us best. Plant a good seed everywhere you go. Tell your story…like only you were meant to do. Dream "LARGE" dreams and keep living them, despite what may come at work, at home, in the attic, within the project plan, on the highway, over the teleconference, in the front yard, via email, and on any page written for or by you.

Note: It's hard to find any info about the Stinney case. Alot of the info presented is very against any argument that George Stinney may have been innocent because he was railroaded by the Jim Crow practices of the Amerikkkan South. For example, his white court appointed lawyer 'failed' to tell Stinney and his family that he could have filed for an appeal to delay the execution for at least one year to gather support, evidence and monies in order to defend his life in a proper way…By his lawyer refusing to tell him of his rights his human and civil rights were violated…The only advice the family did receive was to leave town before their relative was put to death in order to avoid any mob revenge. His trial lasted a total of 3 hours from opening statement to jury verdict and he was dead less than two months later. This trial basically went undetected by both national and world news because the world was at war and the Allied Forces just invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944.
