First Oscar.
Now Paris.

Paris Hilton that is.The Academy Award-winning Memphis rappers, Three 6 Mafia, are producing and recording tracks with Hilton for her upcoming music debut.

"We ran into her at a William Morris agency party and she said she liked our song 'Stay Fly' and asked could we work with her," said Jordan 'Juicy J' Houston, one-third of the hip-hop group.

Saturday, the trio will be in Memphis for Three 6 Mafia Day festivities on Beale Street. Tuesday night, they were headed into a Los Angeles studio with Hilton.

"We let her listen to a dance track and she really liked it and plans to record it tonight," Houston said in a telephone interview Tuesday evening.

Whether the Hilton heiress will be rapping or singing is still up in the air.

"We're just getting in the studio and putting together some more tracks for her," Juicy said. "From there, we'll see, but it will be a blast working with Paris Hilton. I mean she is Paris Hilton."

He said since the group won the Oscar for Best Original Song for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" from the movie "Hustle & Flow," they have been swamped with all sort of requests.

One thing Houston was ecstatic about was getting honored Saturday.

"Things are big for us right now and this day only makes it bigger," he said.

The City of Memphis, Memphis and Shelby County Music Commission, Memphis Music Foundation, Memphis and Shelby County Film Commission and Memphis Grammy Chapter are just a few groups sponsoring the event, said Rey Flemings, president of the Memphis Music Foundation.

The rap group will be given a key to the city during the event, Flemings said.

"Three 6 Mafia has chosen to remain a part of the Memphis music community for the past 15 years," Flemings said.

"They thanked Memphis when they accepted their Oscar and now it is Memphis' turn to thank them."

Three 6 Mafia Day will be held at the Memphis Rock 'N' Soul Museum from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
