If You Are In Memphis, Tn Don't Forget "The Little Things," August 10th @ Caritas Village

What: Out of every 1,000 babies born in Memphis, fourteen don't survive. In an effort to increase awareness of the current situation and equip expecting mothers with education, NIA Artist Collective is hosting a community awareness event entitled "The Little Things"

The event will feature an art installation of more than 100 children's shoes, some hand-painted by members of NIA Artist Collective, symbolizing the 183 babies that reportedly died in 2004. Pre-natal care specialists and information will also be available during the community awareness event. Unpainted shoes and proceeds from the event will benefit local infant mortality prevention organizations.

When: August 10, 2007 from 6pm-9pm
Where: Caritas Village in Binghamton (Memphis,Tn)
2509 Harvard St.

We invite you to support the arts and our community.

Sincerely,

NIA Artist Collective
