Good Knight???

Is Tha Row In Its Final Hour???

Like My Friend Tmac says Love me or Hate me it's mandatory that you respect me…

Marion Suge Knight is one of the most successful visionaries and business leaders in U.S. music industry history...Yet his largesse and excess both literally and metaphorically seems to also embody a true tragedy of institutional racism and the pitfalls of American capitalism and greed....

Nonetheless the man's (known in intimate circles as Sugar Bear) life ascension from the hood to American splendour still would make for a great read and best seller…Who would have thought that a boy from one of the most fabled and infamous neighborhoods in Amerikkka (Compton,Ca) could rise to one day create and control one of the most successful Black owned music and money making institutions since the heyday of Berry Gordy owned MoTown Records with a legendary and talented roster to match ( in my opinion Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson, The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Supremes are equally as great and timeless as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, D.O.C., Tha Dogg Pound circa 1996, Nate Dogg at his best)…

To me what made Suge Knight a threat in my mind wasn't his alleged acts of intimidation and violence towards rap artists like Vanilla Ice and other music execs like Eazy E but the fact that he was proud and unapologetic about who he was and where he came from…Another reason why he was feared and respected in the music biz and beyond was the fact that unlike so many Black brothers in the industry in particular and Amerikkka in general he was one of the few Black men that actually controlled his own destiny because he controlled his "masters", meaning that no matter what The Man try to do to him that Suge possessed the resources and the drive that political, financial, sports and family dynasties are built upon and excel (Think Kennedy Family, Bush Family, WalMart, Microsoft, Lakers, Yankees, etc.)…

What is ironic about Suge's situation is that he is basically being penalized and railroaded by the system for allegedly doing the same thing that so many of the above mentioned organizations and/or families did to build their wealth, which is take illegal or blood money and turned it into a legitmate inheritance and/or business institution…Think about it the Kennedy Patriarch Joe Kennedy built his financial and political empire by being a bank president (financier) and a bootlegger by importing booze for gangsters like Al Capone, Frank Costello and Meyer Lansky…Kennedy was also guilty of insider trading (on a way grander scale than Martha Stewart) because he was alerted to sell his stock unlike so many millions of other folks before the Great Stock Market crash of 1929 which lead to the Great Depression of the 1930s…Ironically when Pres. Roosevelt formed the SEC
(Stock Exchange Commission) to get rid of corruption on Wall Street he appointed Joe Kennedy as a powerful figurehead to run the organization…Many people in the know were shocked and disgusted to find out that Roosevelt would appoint such a man who had questionable character when it came to the management of finances, but Pres. Roosevelt replied without missing a step that it takes a crook to catch a crook...I am sure if you look honestly at the history of American capitalism and the history of many reputable business institutions that you would find more than your fair share of corruption and questionable ethical behavior…

And for people who feel that hip hop, in particular gangsta rap, has brought an unwanted precedent of violence and hedonistic behavior among our young people than you as they say are sadly mistaken as well as confused…The gangster element has always been apart of the industry both covertly and overtly period…Duke Ellington got his first break playing at the world famous Cotton Club which was owned by the ruthless gangster known as Owney Madden, a friend of Joe Kennedy…As a matter of fact many of the most popular night or jazz clubs in the U.S. for long while were owned by gangsters looking to sell their illegal booze in venues that were relaxing and entertaining…Louis Armstrong was a victim of gangland intimidation and had to get away from Amerikkka and went to Europe for several years to escape White gangsters who were literally killing themselves for his services…Louis Armstrong's long time and final manager Joe Glaser was an associate of the Al Capone gang known as The Outfit…Many people believe that the great singer Sam Cooke was the victim of mob violence because of his refusal to give up the rights to his prosperous music publishing business...Popular comedian and singer Joe E. Lewis almost lost his voice and life after he got disfigured by Al Capone hit man and bodyguard Machine Gun Jack McGurn for refusing to play the gangster's night club…Must I mention Old Blue Eyes himself Frank Sinatra with his Good Fellas connection…

The real reason why Suge is being targeted besides some bad personal choices he made as far as violating conditions of his probation, was that his wealth actually represented a threat to the established order of Amerikkkan Society…In actuality the inner city is suppose to create a permanent underclass of destitute people with no aspirations and/or dreams to strive for so that they could be exploited by society's priveliged Elite not resillient, intelligent, resourceful and driven entrepreneurs who dare to not only dream the impossible dream but to also achieve it by any means necessary…Like I always say in Amerikkka rich people belong in condos and Yale while poor people belong in Ghettoes and jail...

We must remember that in Amerikkka the bigger they are the harder they fall is the rule not the exception...It is not fun screwing with someone who doesn't have anything to lose or nothing to gain…It is much more tragic and funnier to see someone lose it all including their mind (build you up to break you down mentality---Think Barry Bonds, Kobe Bryant, Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson, Dave Chappelle) because it makes for better headlines, newspaper sales, telelvision ratings, etc.,…We must learn as a progressive, discerning and truth seeking people not to take the T.V., newspaper, internet and other media as the authoritative, final word of truth and definition on every and all things especially when it comes to morally judging people you don't know well personally or never met…Please refer to Malcolm X posting if you need to get clarification…

Train your true seeing eye, your mind's eye to distinguish the difference between salt and pepper, oil from vinegar, perception vs. deception and so on and so on…Always be wary of those who throw the first stones and like Sgt. Joe Friday say "just the facts" would do just fine.

Yours Truly Even If U Think That Suge Knight Is More Gangsta Than George W. Bush,
