Tha Artstorian Reports: Manning Boys Win Back To Back Super Bowls In Historic Fashion…

When the Manning Brothers, Eli and Peyton, lose they are statistically bad, but when they win they are historically good…

Eli’s older brother Peyton after years of consistent technical excellence @ quarterback overshadowed by years of alleged choking and heartache finally found the promised land last year when he engineered the offensively explosive Indianapolis Colts to a long due Superbowl victory…This victory erased years of competitive futility from an otherwise brilliant hall of fame career…

The win was also notable because it was historic…It was the first Superbowl win by a team led by an African American head coach, the affable and universally respected Tony Dungy…As a matter of fact the 2007 Superbowl marked the first time two teams with African American head coaches faced off in the popular annual contest (the other head coach was Lovie Smith of the Chicago Bears, who is also a protégé of Tony Dungy)…

In terms of U.S. race relations this win took on social significance beyond the football field as well because Peyton Manning, being a privileged White son of the American South (New Orleans, La. born and raised) as well as a South East Conference (S.E.C.) football legend ( a competitive collegiate sports conference noted for its ‘passive institutional racism’ especially when it comes to football…For example, the SEC’s first African American head football coach, Sylvester Crooms of Mississippi State has only held his job since 2004 ) helped an African American man finally get his due as one of the elite football coaches in the game today…

Meanwhile Peyton’s Brother, Eli, led a confident New York Giants team to an almost unpredictable Superbowl victory against arguably the greatest offensive juggernaut in the history of the NFL, the mighty New England Patriots led by the All-American with the matinee idol looks, Tom Brady (who arguably had the greatest offensive season for a quarterback in the history of the game)…The win only cost the Patriots their only loss of the season as well as a shot at perfection and immortality…

On top of that Eli and the Giant killers as I would call them were the lowest seed (No. 5) ever to win the big one and they also won a record 11 straight road games to achieve that feat…Incredible…The biggest underdog in Superbowl history topped probably the surest thing in Superbowl history…The sky is falling yall and George W. Bush is running for a third term…

Archie Manning and his wife should be proud of the great job they done with raising their sons…Their individual greatness has made the elder Manning’s legend loom ever larger in the annals of American Football history…Archie first made his legend at Ole Miss (University of Mississippi ~ his son Eli also played and starred at Ole Miss while his other son Peyton starred at Ole Miss’ rival the University of Tennessee) in the football crazy SEC…For a quarterback who never had a chance to play in the playoffs and compete in a Superbowl his entire pro career it must be awesome as well as a form of comfort and validation that his seeds are growing his family’s dynamic football legacy…The perennial loser (at least in the NFL) has found redemption in the championship caliber play of his gifted sons…
